Junior Squad
Junior Members
NCSC Juniors squad training is aimed at swimmers aged 7-12 years old who have passed the equivalent of Level 8 with the Royal Life Saving Society of Western Australia and subject to a swimming assessment by the Lead Coach. Dependant on swimmers’ capability they are placed into one of four squads: Ducks (Introduction), Stingers (Preparation), Dolphins (Development) or Sharks (Competition).
2025 Winter Season
The NCSC Winter Season aligns with the school terms - Monday 28 April 2025 to Friday 26 September 2025. Registration is split by each term. Members in Ducks, Stingers and Dolphins can choose between a single session per week or multi-sessions per week. Sharks are expected to swim multiple sessions per week. Get in quick as class sizes are limited.
Junior sessions:
Ducks:
Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri: 3.45pm-4.30pm
Stingers:
Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri: 4.00pm-5.00pm
Sat: 8.00am-9.00am
Dolphins:
Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri: 4.00pm-5.15pm
Sat: 8.00am-9.00am
Sharks:
Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri: 4.30pm-6.30pm
Thurs 6.00-7.30am; Sat: 7.00am-9.00am
To register, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Register with Swimming WA via Swim Central.
Click here to register the MEMBER and a PARENT with Swimming WA via the 'Swim Central' database. .
Step 2: Register with NCSC via My Swim Results and contact the coaches
New NCSC members: click here to create an account in My Swim Results and register for a squad assessment with Coach Treena. Email coach@nchswimming.com to set up an assessment time.
Returning NCSC members: click here and contact the coaches to be allocated to a Summer2024/25 squad (if required).
Step 3: Once allocated to a squad, log back into My Swim Results and complete payment of your NCSC fees. Note: NCSC provides a multi-child discount during the summer season: 5% for 2nd child, 10% for 3rd child etc. Payment options are monthly or in full at the time of registering. Essential Equipment for Juniors
Junior swimmers require the following equipment for squad training sessions:
- Kickboard
- Fins (ensure they are not too tight, recommend one size up)
- Goggles (recommend 2 pairs – training and racing)
- Swim Cap (New members are provided a NCSC cap)
- Pull Buoy (Stingers/Dolphins)
- Drink bottle
It is recommended all swimmers use a gear bag to hold their equipment. The bag must be CLEARLY labelled with the swimmer’s name and can be stored in the Club Equipment Facility.

Fees
NCSC is a Swimming WA (SWA) affiliated Club. Swimmers must register their membership with both SWA via Swim Central and NCSC via My Swim Results.
