Swimmer Pathway
INTRODUCTION
PREPARATION ~ Swimmers who have successfully passed Level 8 in the Learn To Swim program. Entry point connecting lessons & club land. Encouraged to join in club activities.
DEVELOPMENT ~ Training of technique. Competitive membership encouraged but, is optional.
FITNESS ~
Social: Structured program to maintain general fitness for other sporting interests’ (cross-training, injury prevention) or loves the water (health & well-being, injury rehabilitation). Encouraged to join in with club activities.
Complementary: Structured program to maintain general fitness to compete in other aquatic pursuits (Surf/Triathlon/Open Water/Water Polo) that use swimming. Encouraged to join in with club activities. Competitive membership is optional.

COMPETITION
COMPETITIVE ~ For the athlete that has a desire to pursue the sport of swimming as their chosen sport. Inclusion is dependent on commitment to specific squad requirements. Competitive membership to Swimming WA is compulsory.
PATHWAY NOTES:
The pathway has been streamlined to cater for all personal goals of the swimmer and those of the club.
The continued development of technique is paramount at all squad levels.
Transfer of swimmers on the pathway from one squad to another is dependent on squad criteria.

NCSC Members
Fees
NCSC is a Swimming WA (SWA) affiliated Club. Swimmers must register their membership with both SWA via Swim Central and NCSC via My Swim Results.
NCSC Members Enjoy:
- Eligibility to join the Club’s Squad Training Programs.
- Participation at regular NCSC Club meets.
- Eligibility for the NCSC Club Championship Trophy.
- Eligibility to represent NCSC at the annual Club Premierships Competition.
- Eligibility to represent NCSC at targeted Swimming WA Events and Competitions.
- Excellent coach to swimmer ratios and lane space accessibility.
- No-fee entry to Newman College Pool

- An Olympic sized heated pool.
